What we do

Ten Disciplines. One Operating Company.

A note on scope

These are operating capabilities, not services for hire. We apply them to brands AEGIS builds and operates—on our own or with commercial partners.

Building a consumer brand takes research, sourcing, brand, technology, marketing and operations working as one system. AEGIS brings these disciplines together to build and run the businesses in its portfolio.

Operating capabilities

  1. 01

    Opportunity Research

Identifying products and markets where demand already exists and the economics hold.

    • Demand and search analysis
    • Competitive positioning
    • Pricing and margin modelling
    • Market selection

    In practice

Every portfolio business begins as a research case: who buys this, what they pay today, what it costs to land and deliver, and what it should cost to acquire a customer.

  2. 02

    Product Sourcing

Securing the right product at the right cost from qualified manufacturers and suppliers.

    • Supplier identification
    • Sampling and quality review
    • Price and MOQ negotiation
    • Sourcing-agent coordination

    In practice

We work with manufacturers, suppliers and sourcing agents internationally, and compare options on quality, lead time and landed cost before committing to inventory.

  3. 03

    Brand Development

Giving a product a name, a position and a reason for customers to choose it.

    • Positioning and naming
    • Visual identity
    • Product presentation
    • Offer and pricing architecture

    In practice

A brand is how a portfolio business earns trust and pricing power. We build identities that are specific to the customer and the category, not generic store templates.

  4. 04

    E-commerce Infrastructure

Building and running the storefronts and systems each business sells through.

    • Storefront and checkout
    • Payments and tax
    • Apps and integrations
    • Tracking and attribution

    In practice

We build storefronts for conversion and reliability, and connect them to the inventory, fulfilment, analytics and customer-service tools behind them.

  5. 05

    Customer Acquisition

Acquiring customers profitably through paid, organic and marketplace channels.

    • Meta, Google and TikTok advertising
    • Search and organic
    • Email and retargeting
    • Marketplace acquisition

    In practice

We invest our own marketing budgets into our own businesses, so acquisition is measured against contribution margin rather than reach or impressions.

  6. 06

    Commerce Operations

Running the daily operations that keep a commerce business healthy.

    • Listings and pricing
    • Order processing
    • Promotions
    • Store management

    In practice

Operations are where good brands are won or lost. We manage the routine work—accurately and on time—so growth does not outpace the business behind it.

  7. 07

    Supplier Management

Maintaining supply, quality and terms as a business grows.

    • Inventory coordination
    • Reorder planning
    • Quality control
    • Logistics and fulfilment partners

    In practice

We coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to keep products in stock, move inventory efficiently and improve terms as volumes increase.

  8. 08

    Customer Experience

Making every order one a customer would repeat.

    • Customer service
    • Returns and resolution
    • Post-purchase communication
    • Reviews and feedback

    In practice

Retention compounds. We treat delivery, service and after-sales as part of the product, because they decide whether a customer buys again.

  9. 09

    Analytics

Measuring what matters and deciding with evidence.

    • Unit economics
    • Channel attribution
    • Conversion analysis
    • Cohort and retention reporting

    In practice

Each business reports on the same core measures, which lets us compare performance across the portfolio and direct capital and attention where it earns the most.

  10. 10

    Scaling

Growing proven businesses into larger, more durable brands.

    • Range extension
    • New channels
    • Geographic expansion
    • Conversion and margin improvement

    In practice

We scale what the numbers support: increasing acquisition, adding products, entering new markets and improving efficiency, one validated step at a time.

Delivery model

Led by AEGIS. Delivered with specialist partners.

AEGIS does not perform every function internally. We lead each discipline, set the standards and own the outcome—and work with manufacturers, sourcing agents, logistics providers, creatives, media buyers and technology providers where their capability is stronger.

AEGIS leads

Opportunity selection, brand, commercial strategy, capital allocation and operating standards.

Partners deliver

Manufacturing, specialist sourcing, freight and fulfilment, creative production and selected media.

Shared measures

Every function reports against the same unit economics, so decisions are made on one set of numbers.
